You will find a quite well stocked little supermarket in the town of Los Planes, 1km from SuChante. they also have an express delievery via whatsapp.
in the maintown of Agujitas, you will find a vegetable store which has a bigger variety on fruit and veggies depending on the weekday.
Nevertheless if you have a special diet or need special ingredients please stock up on your way to SuChante in one of the bigger supermarkets in Palmar Norte, Rio Claro or Puerto Jimenez

There are no banks nor ATM’s in the Drake Bay area. Please make sure you bring enough cash to sustain your stay and pay for additional services.

In the bigger mini supermarkets in Agujitas you may pay with a credit card, as you can in some restaurants and tour operators.

You will find Ana’s Kitchen a 2 minutes walk from the House. Ana offers exquisite local cuisine prepared with love and taste.

One of the little stores in Los Planes, has a little fast food place attached to i.

If you have a car and if not a taxi can easily arranged. you can visit Bella Vista Restaurant over looking Rincon/San Josecito Bay and enjoy a heartly local meal whilst gazing at the sea.

In the main town of Agujitas you will find several options for eating out.

Yes you can, to a little elevated price you can get diesel or gasoline for your vehicle at several places in Drake Bay. However it is advisable that you fill your tank at the petrol station in Chacarrita or in Puerto Jimenez if you are coming from there.

Eventhough we love pets and see them as true family members it is due higinical reasons not possible to bring your pet.
Also we respect the sourrounding wildlife and dont want pets chasing after them.
Please make sure you find a nice holiday home for your pet whilst staying at SuChante.

Indeed there is a small emergency clinic with one doctor and a nurse in the maintown of Agujitas. It is very basic.
Please if you have a medical condition and need special medicines, bring them with you.

Well all what you need to make yourself feel comfortable but following items are advisable to pack:

• a good flashlight
• comfortabel shoes for hikes
• raincoat
• sun screen
• repelent
• special diet items
• personal medicine

SuChante is close to 150 mts above the sea level and it is save to say that mosquitos are not a problem here. Of course the possibility always exists but it is normally not the case. Bring your prefered repelent just in case or when you go to the beach (sandflies).
Nevertheless depending on the saison, we also do get some during the rainy months. We do have mosquito nets.

You will share the property with the guest from the other house and the owner the lives on the same property out of visibility and can help you gladly arrange tours and answer questions in person if he  is around. pura vida

Please be aware that we are in the middle of the rain forest and garbadge disposal is a major problem in the countryside

Keep in mind that plastic takes forever to decompose when you go shopping, better ask for carton boxes at the store “Disculpe, tienen cajas?”
Please bring rechargable Batteries as there are no battery recycling plants in costa rica and you can not leave them here. Thanks!

The closest beach to Suchante is roughly 5 km away. Thats a 10 minutes ride with a car or one hour on foot. Due to our location you can hear the waves crashing to the beach on most nights 🙂

Caletas Beach is 4 km away and Rincon Beach 5km. Both take about 10-15 minutes car ride.
